Tel Aviv invites you to experience the holiday season with its annual “Lighting Up Jaffa” events, a vibrant showcase of multicultural charm.
This year’s events feature a dazzling giant Menorah, sparkling holiday snow globes, and a traditional Christmas tree, while the Jaffa Flea Market transforms into a festive Christmas bazaar. Designed for residents and visitors of all ages, the lights capture the unique spirit and warmth of the season in the heart of Jaffa.

Main Events with Free Admission:
Lighting of the Christmas tree
the Municipality of Tel Aviv-Yafo, in collaboration with the Orthodox Scouts of Jaffa, will light a 15-meter Christmas tree. The tree will be illuminated every night, throughout the holidays.
When: December 15, 2024 – January 19, 2025
Where: near the Jaffa Clock Tower
Crystal Snow Globe Installations
Four illuminated, transparent snow globes will be displayed, each containing a holiday-themed sculpture. When a button is pressed, snowflakes will swirl inside the globe, just like a traditional snow globe.
When: December 8, 2024 – January 5, 2025

Giant Menorah Installation
Created by ‘CityPeloton’ studio The large menorah will be placed at the entrance to Jaffa from the promenade. Children will be invited to walk through the menorah, discovering surprises such as walkie-talkies, a button that changes the menorah’s colors, and even a periscope to view the Jaffa coastline.
When: December 15 – 27, 2024

Illuminated Dreidel Installation
This year, the colorful and illuminated dreidels will be displayed in two locations in the southern part of Jaffa to welcome and greet visitors entering the city from this direction.
When: December 16–29, 2024
Where: The corner of Yefet Street and Tzvi Tzur Street, and at Wolfson Square.
Christmas Market
At the unique holiday market, you’ll find the best of Jaffa’s local businesses offering food stalls, crafts, art, and more! Alongside the vibrant market, you can enjoy Jaffa Christmas tours, plays, cultural performances, and art workshops, all in a festive atmosphere.
Market Admission: Free; Some workshops and performances require payment.
